Color fill legend on sheet rather than view

Hello Everyone,

Has anyone figured out a way to place a color fill legend on a sheet rather than a view? Seems odd that that's the only legend I know of that behaves this way. All other legends must be placed on a sheet from the project browser. Right now, we're just maneuvering it in the view and drawing a box around it on the sheet (see image attached).

I don't understand why you can't create a Color Fill Legend and place that Legend on the Sheets.

• Duplicate the view with the color scheme and place the color fill legend. 
• Edit the color fill legend type and choose Values Displayed = All.
• Crop the view to show the legend only. 
• Place on sheet.

Aren't you placing the Legend in the Titleblock on every Sheet? Like is shown in your Screenshot? 

If so, there would need to be a duplicate "Legend" Plan View for every Sheet that the Legend is placed on since Views can't be placed on more than one Sheet.   

Maybe I misunderstood the goal.

My only issue with this solution is it isn't smart but relies on manual data entry, correct? Maybe this should be on Revit Ideas but my goal is to have a color fill legend that is linked to the view so it can be filtered by phase, etc. but that is placed on the sheet from the project browser similar to the behavior of other legends and schedules (e.g. keynote legend).

Update: the only issue I'm having with @ToanDN's solution is that the color fill legend must be set to show all rather than by view and our firm's practice is to edit all info on sheets to only that which is pertinent to the views on the sheet. Any workarounds for this that don't rely on manual entry? I'm happy to do the leg work to create a schedule with images or a legend, as suggested by @barthbradley, but wanted to make sure there wasn't a hidden trick I was overlooking. Thanks so much guys!

Sounds like you need a Schedule that has Filter by Sheet selected.

That is correct.  If you want to show just the legend then it must be set to Show All.  Since you want to show them per view, why wouldn't you want to place the legend in the view?  Understanding the reason may yield a better answer.
