Classic question: Sink void

Our kitchen cabinet simply a solid extrusion having a void associated with sink family (being y/n parametric).

Can I have the void made inside the sink child family instead of inside the kitchen cabinet host family ?

Yes, I turn on the "cut w void when loaded, but it s not working.

Anyone?

Yes. Create the sink family as a face based family with a void the it can cut the counter family when hosted on the countertop.

Left one is face base, right one is generic.

It is strange to say one is face based and another is generic because the two terms are not in parity.

Share the families here.

Yours is not  face based family.  Here is the face based family cutting the counter automatically.

Create a new face based family, insert the sink and move it to the face, add a void extrusion and cut the solid host with it, load this family to your counter family and host it on the counter.
