2 level based AND wall hosted family

OTB 2 level based default family does not include a wall (?).

OTB wall based default family has ref level 0, yet when bring-in won't allow toggling to project levels (or maybe i m wrong).

I m trying to make a downspout which allows toggling at two levels that already existed in project.

Our current downspout requires manual entering height and level offset amount, too much manual work if you have more than two roof level and constantly adjusted.

Anyone?

Use a two level family, add a reference plane representing wall face, set it as origin, place in project, align and lock to the wall.  Not having the host as a wall gives you the flexibility to place the family where you don't have walls, such as next to a column or a linked model.

I have great respect for balkan architect, but this downspout routine is insane.
