circular ramp

Hi

can someone please help me with circular ramp drawing? I have to draw this ramp from ground level to first floor but the ramp tool is not really working well. I can't seem to be able to control the length with the slop and it never ends where I really want it to end.

What is the best way to handle such ramps

Thank you

Hi @Anonymous

Here are some possibilities on how to model a circular ramp...including the Ramp tool as well (you just need to sketch up the guideline/wireframe for it before you start working with the tool itself then in Edit type you can change the slope and length accordingly)

Otherwise; you can use the one of the other 3 methods

PS: there are a couple of more options; should you be interested, you may check My Screencast (link found in my signature)

congratulations, RDAOU .  very good all your  methods.

I'll add another  Conceptual Mass one . As in your method , it can be let as it is with a material parameter or it can be used for a base to a Roof by Face if layers are required...

That one slipped my mind 🙂 ... the generic one is my preference thou...easiest and least complicated to reinforce with dynamo

- remains the adaptive and pattern based generic (works good for precast like wedges) and that most probably covers all

You can find one method in the following screencast...you can still use the beam tool or slab edge (if curve not too sharp) or fascia; you could also sketch it as part of the profile you used in the Blend/Sweep ....it depends on how you modeled the ramp and what you are going to do with it...
