Changes to the House Project after it was linked to Site/Topo Project

Will I be able to do changes to the House Project after it is linked to the Site/Topo Project  and where better to do it: in the Site Project or in the House Project itself and will those changes be saved in Site Project automatically? What about family ? I have many created family materials and imported components  in my House Project. Will they be automatically saved in Site/Topo Project and visible in renderings ?

Thank you for your responce. You said I would be able to do changes to my House Project after it linked to the Site Project but they will not be saved in site project ? I do not understand you. If, for example, I want to change a wall material from brick to tile and change roof or floor footprint. And I need those changes to be updated in Site project where I have already linked that house earlier, how can I do that ?

Open the Project directly, make changes, save, then reload the Link.
