Hello everyone, i need to create parametric 2d family it's contain parametric table and chairs. Parameters such as : chair and table length and width, chairs numbers (depend on table width) and positions (top bottom left right side of table to select), space between chairs. I'm totally fresh with Revit so i don't know many things yet.

A good place to start learning Revit is in the Autodesk Academy website, they have video lesssons for Revit:

If you have a library card, your local library system may allow you free access Lynda.com which I highly recommend checking out. Paul Aubin's family editor course is an excellent place to learn how to skillfully create and control custom families.
Finally, are you sure you want to only create a 2D family? A 3D family in many cases in Revit would be more appropriate since many parts of Revit make use of 3D-modelled elements rather than 2D detail elements. I advise you to consider what you will use the table-and-chairs family for:
But if a 2D element will suit your needs well, by all means go for it ![]()
Thanks for answer, yes i need and prefer it 2d than 3d, many reasons of that. I did some new steps and now my problem is little different. Is this possible to put parametric family (1) to parametric family (2) and then load this family (2) with all parameters? I've created 2d parametric chair with length and width in family (1). When i load this into other family (2) to create furniture set (with chair and table) i see these parameters in edit type (1) but not in properties family(2). So how to load family(1) with parameters editable as a family (2) later What i do wrong? I've trayed to draw a chair into family (2) but then i can't put parameters to this chair which works.
You're missing one crucial step: you must associate the parameters in the nested family (that's what a family loaded into another family is called) to the parent family's type properties. To do this, select the nested family, access the menu for its type properties, then follow the steps in the image below. First, click the little button on the right side of one of the nested family's parameters. This is the Associate Parameter button. This will make another menu pop up. Click the New Parameter button (designated by the red number 2 in the image), and then create a new parameter for that parameter of the nested family. This parameter will now be visible in the parent family's type properties. Repeat this process for all the parameters in the nested family which you would like to control via the parent family's type properties.
