Change colour of a Railing (Feather Lap fence)

Hi, 

I am using a System Family fence, but I can't figure out how to change the colour of it. It is the Revit Vertical Feather Leap one. I have tried to edit the material in the Project Browser but it does not make a difference. I can for some reason edit the material of the rails at the back, but not of the boards or posts, as per photo. I want it to be black! 

Please help if you know how to fix this! Thank you!

Maybe the Balusters/Posts have no Material Parameter. Open the Family and associate the geometry's Material Property to a Material Parameter.  

...additionally, you can Paint surfaces with a Material Parameter (e.g. those Materials with "<param>" in their name). If you can change one side, but not the other, I suspect the Material has been applied to the surfaces via Paint Tool, and one side was missed.

Edit the baluster/post types and change the materials.
