Chain link Fence

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong, I am trying to create a chain link fence using the railing function in Revit 2020.  I can sort of get it to fit, but I can not get the chain link fabric to fit in where the posts are less than the spacing I specified.  what I mean is, i have a section of fence that is 12' long, my posts are spaced 8' apart, i can get the chain link fabric to fit within the 8' posts, but can not get it to infill where a 4 foot section would be.  any help would be appreciated.

Have you try setting this to truncated panel? Railing is not very flexible.

Baluster panels are fixed size so you would need to create different types if the dimension changed.  For this, I would use a curtain wall with chainlink material assigned to panels.

How wide is the chain link panel?  4'-0" I suspect.  Create another one to fit the leftover space, which looks to be 2'-0",  and include it in your Baluster Pattern. Or maybe, create one 2'-0" chain link panel and space one every 2'-0".   Or, maybe use a Curtain Wall in lieu of the Railing. Probably be easier. You could apply a Material with a Chain Link Asset to the System Panel.

Here is the chainlink that built with curtainwall.
