Certain levels are not an option for an underlay

I am working on a project where I have structural plans (walls plans) and floor plans (joists plans). I am trying to underlay the wall plan below so I can line up my studs from level to level. 

These structural plan levels are labelled as 01A-1st floor walls, 02A-2nd floor walls etc. My floor plans are labelled as 01-1st floor, 02-2nd floor etc.

As you can see in the attached when I try to choose an underlay level the wall levels are not an option to choose. They used to show up and now for some reason they are not there and I can not figure out why. I have compared settings with other projects and they all seem to be the same.

Are they Duplicate View of the same Level?

No, all of the levels were created new. I duplicated the plans as a dependant but never duplicated the levels.

When you go to View=>Plan View=>Floor Plan=>uncheck do not duplicate view,  you see all those levels you are speaking about? 

...What does their Properties say is the Associated Level?

Yes, I can see all of those levels in there.

Do you have plan views for the levels that are not showing up in the Underlay dropdown? Levels with no associated plans cannot be underlayed.

Ya know that Floor Plan Names are not Levels right?  They are created based on the level...

Else we would have a giant mess of levels to try to filter out on the elevations.

Sounds like you just need to temporarily turn on certain categories in your view and change the overlay.

I do have plan views for all of these levels.

I can see the Associated levels in there.

-Try setting the View Template to None. 

-Also, check Discipline of the Structural Plan Views--default is Structural, perhaps try changing to Architectural or Coordination.

- Check View Range of the Struct. Views to make sure cut plane/view depth is set correctly so underlay of lower level/level below could be visible.

I was replying to barth. He sent a photo that concludes my situation. I would like to know the fix for this. My underlay range is unavailable and my view plan is duplicated but not dependent. Any thoughts?

Only levels with plan views can be shown as Underlay.  If you only added the levels, then go ahead and create plan views associated with those levels.

Nope no flukes there...Just Underlay rules.

1. For a Level Datum to be available as an underlay, it must have at least ONE plan view
2. What becomes available on the Underlay drop down menu is the Level Datum itself (ie: Not the plan views created for that Level/Building Story)
3. If for instance a Level has 100 floor plan views (ie: duplicate views), it would still be listed as ONE single LEVEL on the Underlay drop down menu (ie: Not 100 floor plans)
