Ceiling height in a family

I noticed in a Generic Family (probably the same with others), that if you are in the Ceiling Plan Ref. Level and you have an extruded element that is below 2300 tall, then you won't see it in the Ceiling Plan. Once you hit 2300, it becomes visible.

Can you control that height, or is it hard-coded in the family?

Hi!

Have you checked the View Range on your Ceiling plan view(s)? It might be that you just need adjusting it so that the Cut Plane cuts through your family in Ceiling Plan view, and that the Top and Bottom ranges are also appropriately set.

Otherwise would you mind sharing that family to test on my end?

Thank you both!

@esk0r Families behave differently than regular Revit. I totally missed that I had to select the Ceiling Plan View so that its properties and Edit View Range would appear. I thought I could just be inside the view and then I would see the view's property...
