Hi,
My university gave me a revit file. When I try to open it, I have to upgrade from 2014 to 2020 version, wich I do.
When i opens, a window pops up with:
"Once upgraded, changes to C:\Users...................rvt cannot be syncronized with the central model.
if you wish to save changes to the cebtral model, use the previous version of Revit before upgrading either the central or local model."
If I say "close" to that window, I can use the file and navigate, but I cannot delete stuff etc. and I cannot go to "file>save as" and save the model. If I do, a new window pops up with:
"This local file has been saved by user "xxxxx", current user is "s194951". Please change your user name or stop working on this file."
I cant open the file unless I update it, and I dont have Revit 2014 to open it in.
I tried to change my user name on Autodesk webpage to match the user name in the file, but it says that the name is not available.
Im running out of options here, does anybody know how to solve this??
Best regards
Brian 🙂
"The project cannot be saved because the user name you are using is not the same as the user who created the local file. Open
