Cant see sections in plan

Hi,

The attached project has two plan views:

TEST _ G0100 - GroundFloor GA Copy 1

and

TEST _ G0101 - FirstFloor GA Copy 1

I've drawn several sections in each, but I can't get the sections shown in the Ground Floor to show in the First floor or vice versa.

I've tried all the usual causes of this type of problem, and I can get them to show if I recreate the plan views - but not get the two plans listed above to show all sections.

I'm sure its something stupidly obviously, but its eluding me at the moment.

I've appreciate some advice, thanks.

Thanks. I've tried checking the Discipline options - that doesn't fix it unfortunately...

I'm baffled with this one. I've checked the usual suspects.

Why would someone offer a solution without testing it in the model? At least they could have said that they didn't look at the model.

I'm wondering if its some kind of bug? I seem to remember theres an issue with things displaying when DWGs have been imported a large distance away from the origin...

... nonetheless, I've removed all DWG links from the file and that didn't fix the problem...

I have a question for you about that project.

How did you get it to open two views when opening the project?

it's odd, but your Floor Plans have no Level equivalent in Section/Elevation Views ...at least , I was not able to find them...

I suggest to recreate the Floor Plans on these Levels...

Thanks - I don't quite follow your meaning of floor plans having level equivalents.

I did try to set up new floor plans and noticed that that worked, but the problem I have is that the floor plan is from a live project (I deleted all the model just to see if that was causing issues), and deleting / recreating the floor plan would be a fair amount of work.

Also, you'll notice that when you create the new floor plans one of the sections is lost into space, it still exists in the browser, but doesn't show on any plans... its the one that was on the First floor plan.

If there is no other solutions (I was hoping it was going to be something simple) then I'll recreate the plans...

I appreciate your help on this.

Select a Section>Select all instances in Entire Project.

Hide at Scales Coarser Than 1:1000

Discipline: Architectural

View Scale 1:100

View Properties of Floor Plans

Phase: New Construction

Phase Filter:Show All

OK, that worked.

Based on abaarch's post, I found that its a problem with the phases.

All sections and views are set to New Construction.

But, if you select all sections and then set them to demolition, hit apply, then set to New Construction Again.

Then do the same with the floor plans - all of the sections show.

I think its a bug or a corruption with this file as they should show, but setting and resetting the phase fixes the problem.

Thanks for your help.

Yes--sounds like a Phasing issue and/or corrupt file.

Please accept as solution.
