Cant "void cut" sweep

I am trying to model the corner condition for these two moldings, which are two separate sweeps using a profile made with splines (the profile is from a manufacturer) Each sweep is on a different plane. For corner condition I thought I could just extend it and cut it, however, it doesn't work. I tried drawing another extrusion, and cutting that: but also failed. I can only cut into the sweep using a single shape such as a circle... Any suggestions? I pasted some screenshots and a Revit file with the sweep

Create a single sweep using pick 3d path.

Edit Sweep and add a return path at each end, finish and close out, and Join the two different In-Place Sweeps together to remove the geometry at the union.
