Cannot Select SAT Face

Using Revit 2016 and having major difficulty selecting SAT import faces to create a curtain system (or wall, floor, roof). Somewhat frustrating because just last week I was using the same SAT file to do this very thing. In fact, I'm using the exact same file that worked before. I've ran some tests with new SAT files and new Revit projects to no avail. The SAT is created in Rhino and exported as ACIS Solid (.sat) and AutoCAD export option. 

If anyone knows what could possibly have happened to prevent me from selecting individual faces please provide suggestions. Thank you!

SOLUTION: I created an in place mass and linked the SAT file to that and then I was able to create the curtain system hosting to the mass's face.
