Cannot rotate a Revit family

Hi.

I am a basic Revit user, trying to draw a garage drivedown/ramp down to the garage. See scene below.

I have imported a Revit familiy, downloaded from Revitcity. This model is a car, and I want to illustrate that the car will have space to drive down the rather steep ramp and fit into the garage. Meaning that I want to rotate the car to the same angle as the ramp.

The problem is that i Cannot rotate the car. I get the following error msg.

  • I have tried to "uncheck" always Vertical under Family editor.

Is there any way to convert the model to something I can rotate freely ?

Please help me.

Appreciate all answer and help.

Best regards,

Jorgen.

Edit family, uncheck Always vertical, check Work plane, load in project and pick the sloped surface of the ramp or floor to place it

.... additionally, you can draw a ref plane on the elevation, name it, and place the car on that plane. Then you can rotate the plane to the slope you want and the car will follow.
