Cannot create parts for roof in Revit

Hello!

I'm actually doing some details drawings in revit so I have used the Parts for the presentation's poster in my floors, when I came to use it again in my roof I just couldn't use the command, when I go to the create panel I have them all active except the create part I can't use it!
it actually happened before but I did slove it by just undo then copying the view and redo it again so it worked couble of times when I came to the roof it never worked.
anyone knows why?
thanks in adavance.

You mean Create Parts grayed out? Usually that means it's already in parts.  Toggle Parts Visibility under view Properties to "Parts" and verify.

You cannot create parts from an assembly roof with more than one sloped plane.

Hi @Anonymous

I see that you are a new visitor. Welcome to the Autodesk community! Smiley Happy

If you create your roof as a Mass, load it into your project, add roof by face, you will be able to create Parts from the roofs by face.

Can you post your roof model and a screencast of what you are trying to achieve?

looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Right that's what I mean, and I tried the "parts visibility" didn't work it seems like the roof still not divided.

That might be the reason then! so nothing will be used instead?

I was thinking that too, 404 ERROR (Smiley Wink), but the "Reset Shape" is grayed out.

Sorry for the late reply I was out of the office. Just got the chance to reply, It didn't change much of what I did I already submitted the presentation in this shape most of them were done only the roof part was done just in a section box couldn't do it.
and about the other floors since it was a 10 floor building once it gets greyed out, I used a diffrenet floor and got to try if it works or not so yeah It worked. 4.png4.png
