Cannot adding triangle head level to proprieties

Hello!

I am starting Revit 2014 Lt and try to add triangle head level from the Families>Annotations to the 8mm head.

I am loading Family>Libraries>US Metric>Annotations>M_Level Head-Triangle; click Open

Go back to Proprieties, click on the drop menu upper window Level 8mm Head and I cannot find Level Head Triangle and I have only the bubble 8mm Head style.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for your help guys!

Michel

You only loaded the symbol, which is the first step.  Now edit a Level type and change it to use that symbol.

Do you see it in the Families list in your Browser? Click on the + sign to see a list of Families in your Project.

Try inserting the symbol. You can drag the symbol right off the Browser, or Annotate >> Symbol

I did as the following:

Highlight my Bubble 8 mm Head

Go to proprieties but do not find Triangle head but only 8mm Head in the drop menu

Open the Triangle Head family file and load it in your Project again, or just drag and drop the RFA file onto your Project Browser.  It may not have been loaded the first time.

You keep looking in the Type Selector for a triangular Level type that doesn't exist yet. You've only loaded the symbol, but you haven't created a Level Type that uses it.

Select an existing Level or activate the Level tool in the ribbon, then in the Properties Pallet click Edit Type. In the dialog that pops up, click Duplicate, type in a new type name that's appropriate for a triangle head Level, and look for your triangle symbol family in the Symbol parameter. Click Okay.

Now you will find your new Level Type in the Type Selector of the Properties window.
