Is there any safe and bug-free methood to cancel design options - just choose one of them and make it the main model?

I tried to take "option b" (which i want it to be the main model) and make it primay and it cuases bugs and changes some wall joins!

Hi Danezek,

There is unfortunately to my knowledge no safe way...

But you can make the operation safer by following a few steps:

If you want to keep only the main one (if you wan tto make it primary and validate it), then you do not need the previously main one anymore...

You could delete the content of the primary one before making the other one primary.

That step could help solve the geometry issues.

If you want to keep th eother option, just cut its content, make the other one primary, then paste at the same location.

This method should help with potential interferences between the two options.

About views elements, there is absolutely no solution.

Annotations being attached to a view, not an option, WILL bug when switching primaries...

Just read the warnings well and identify the problems.

Sort out 3D and 2D (view specific) in order to know what changes to expect xwhen you proceed!

I hope this clarifies the issue,

Cheers,

François

Set the needed option to primary, then set display to main model. Next open the design options dialog and delete the unwanted options, Revit will display a message telling you that all elements on this design option will be deleted too.

Thanks!

The first part went ok. i deleted the old primary and now i was able to make the desired option the primary

now i want to turn the primary option to "main model" (i dont want to use destion option anymore.)

i didn't mange to do that. it wont let me cut the geomerty from an option to the main model.
