Can you delete view types?

Our template has many view types for floor plans but we don't need them all on every project. I know you can duplicate, but I don't see a way to delete. See attached.

That's the list of view types available when creating an area plan.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Hello,

All those types are included in rvt file I posted previously. You have to go to "View">"Create new area plan" and you will find all those types, impossible de get rid off. I think it's relied to "color scheme" linked to them, that's why Revit consider these templates as used and refuse to purge them. The problem is that you can't delete neither these "color schemes", because they are used by area plans types... Vicious cercle 🙂

Hi,

I am not sure if I understood your question right, but why don't you just delete Area types the same way as you created them (if you didn't use "Duplicate Type" button):
