Can this computer be used to Autodesk Revit?

Hello!
I am currently looking for a new computer for my education. I have found one, but I do not know if it fits the requirements. It should suit the requirements of "large complex models". I have found this one:

computer will run revit...however, graphics card is not the right type for autodesk software....go here to get a list...

i would go with windows 10 pro instead of home for work purposes

other than that...the system is fine.

i have a laptop with practically identical specs and it runs revit.  However, the gaming card isn't sanctioned to run revit properly and you will get issues such as ghosting images, materials not displaying properly, etc.

try to pick a machine that has a gold shield certified card from autodesk compatibility site...using there specific drivers.

My understanding is that the biggest difference between a geforce card and a quadro card is the memory type.  And that in almost every situation a geforce is a better buy.  This video was one i found particularly helpful.

if you are tight on money (most students are)...go with gtx cards

if you have lots of dough....go with quadro cards

If I were you @Anonymous I would not waste money buying a laptop with Quadro video card.  I wouldn't even buy it for work, let alone for school.  Invest your money elsewhere wisely.

if you cannot buy a desktop or laptop for school because the funds are not available or other reasons, perhaps the school you are attending has a computer facility center you can access to use their machines...

when i was in college, i couldn't afford a computer so I went to the university computer center and borrowed their machines.

if you are buying a machine on a very tight budget, I would look at a used, re-certified computer perhaps from DELL or HP outlet.

if you don't have to be mobile while using the computer, a desktop purchase is better and you can put any graphics card you want in there as well as swap out to a different card when needed

i have a dell precision m6800 with a quadro 5100m card in it for work and it works fine....no problems (approx. $3,500.00)

i have a dell xps 15 with a gtx 960m card in it for personal/remote work and it works fine other than the issues previously mentioned (approx. $1,500.00)

work within your budget and constraints and you will find something that works....good luck.
