Can't set floor level as a top constraint for column

Hello, i'm trying for a while now to set a height constraint for a column with no luck, I tried everything but nothing working all other types of columns are working perfectly but this type and I wish to know why.

Hello is this column is different type from others, if yes try to edit the column family and set the constraints from elevation view. Thanks

Thanks for your help, I can change the height of the column in the family editor but why I can't set it to automatically change the height according the floor level ?

Not that i have access to Revit at the moment but you forgot to attach the family ... Regardless; I think that you forgot to lock the column in the family to the upper level.

Go back to family editor and lock the top of your extruded column to the upper level...You did use the two levels family template normally used to model custom columns?
