Can't recover journal file

hi,

my file crashed and wasn't able to save a backup file.

I try to recover the file via journal file, I followed the autodesk support tutorial, but the same massage appears, and than the original file is opening as last saved.

does anyone have any solution?

According to this article, "...  though note the chance to repair the data with journal files is very low."

Maybe there's a working local file, so check that out.

What Article told you could repair a model thru a Journal file?  don't get me wrong, i love journal Files, I use them regularly for Troubleshooting. but have never had success repairing a model with one.

The message in your screen capture usually implies the there was a pop-up message that was unaccounted for so it couldn't complete.  usually when I see those it's a "Reference not found" or a "Coordination Review" message.

  • Are you working with a Workshare file?
    • is there a Local you can recentralize?
  • Have you tried recentralizing the file with the error?

Create a support case to send the corrupted RVT file to Autodesk and the chance they will fix it is still greater than via a journal file.
