Can't get rid of the blue glass in shading

Hi, even after I changed the Glass material to a pale blue in Shading in the Material Browser, it still shows up as the dark blue. This is in the project, so no matter what it should follow the project setting. Why is it not doing it?

My guess would be something messed up in that Revit family because your other windows render glass properly. Edit family, and make sure the material parameter goes to the glass geometry. Or you can upload the Revit project file here (delete super secret info you don't us to see) and we can take a look

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results

The family seems fine, using the same Glass material with the same Graphic definition as the Project. I will have to delete too much information before upload. I'd save myself the labor and hope to see another answer that makes sense.

Check if the glass in the family is actually associated with the material parameter or having the material assigned directly, or surface painted with a different material.

Share the window family if you can.

I'll bet the Glass Geometry in the Family ain't associated to a Material Parameter.  Looks like you other ones are.

This is the family under question. When I select the glass pane, it shows the material is Glass. When I open Material, the Glass has the desirable Graphics property which is not showing up in the project.

That is the picture of the family.  Do you have the family itself?

That's correct.

Now load that one into the Project. Overwrite Existing Version if prompted.  If it fails, then there is something very strange going on here. Post your Project File (RVT) here.

if you have a material with the same name in the project it sometimes doesnt write the information over.
try creating a new material in the family, name it test or similiar put in the setting you want. bind it to the material parameter and load the family into the project.

OK I'm attaching the family file. Strangely when I look at the elevation of the window in Shaded mode in the Family in , it looks very blue, although the Shading setting of the Glass is a pale blue.

Use another Material.  Works here.

What do you mean by "using another material?"

Transfer Project Standards from a clean project (Architectural Template recommended) > Materials > Overwrite Glass.  Do it in your project, then save the window family from the project to overwrite the external family.

I attached a fixed family here just in case, but it means nothing if you don't fix any projects you already loaded the family in.

It worked! Thank you! So the Glass material in the original file was corrupt?

I don't why all the gymnastics.  It was easily fixed by doing what I told you above. Change the Material.   Bada Bing!  10 second solution.  Max.

Hello everyone, I am dealing with the same issue, the material assigned to the curtain wall/storefront panels is clear, showing as clear in perspective 3D views, but it remains blue in elevation views, all view setting are the same, how can the material be different in another view? Help please THX --
