We have a problem on our project working in BIM360. Same problem happened to a few users where the can't synchronize no matter what we tried. The message everyone is getting is "Can't edit workset "Family : Detail Item : ....1"
The same family exist in the project and no one is editing it, when message comes it adds 1 at the end.
It force people to discard everything and create new local.
This suggests to me that more than one user has attempted to load this family into the project and it has been altered in each user's version, and these versions are now in conflict with each other. Revit usually attempts to protect the original and append the "1" at the end of the family name when such a conflict occurs. I suggest you rename the family in each user's local file and see if Revit can reconcile the families now that they have unique names. Afterward have one person replace the other versions with the original. In the workshared environment a family should be loaded once and sync'd so others can use it, rather than have multiple people load a family they need which happens to already be loaded in the project. This will also help avoid the appended numbers at the ends of family names.
