Can't create new families

Greetings,

Lately I have been having problems with Revit every time I attempted to create a new .rfa archive. It appears to be loading and then the program freezes and won't open anything, as shown in the attached picture. What can I do?

@elias_munoz_neyra hello, what version of Revit do you have? have you try to install latest updates and service packs from autodesk and update graphics card driver to the latest. try to untick use hardware acceleration and see if helps. thanks

I have Revit 2016 with SP2 installed. Hardware accleration was unticked. As for GPU, I have a Asus Strix GTX 1060. Haven't given me any problem so far. It is updated with the latest patch.

As for now, I uninstalled the software to see if it works. SO far When I attempt to install, I receive a notification pointing out a problem with Microsoft Visual C++ 2005

I ended up formatting my PC. Problem is solved
