Can't attach a landing to two stairs

Revit 2019 - File Attached

I was hoping someone with more experience could help me out with this issue. I can't get these two stairs to be joined with a landing and also have the railings joined properly too. When I use the landing routine, the program will not select the second set of stairs. Thanks for any help!!!

Why not add it to one of the stairs?

Two runs in one stair or two stairs? If two stairs then just add a landing by sketch to one of the stairs. Better yest built them as runs within one stair then you can create landing automatically.

A little tricky.  I converted to Stairs to Sketches. Put Landing in Stairs.  Still looks quirky.

How does yours come out when you use a wider landing like the OP's?

...Never mind. My bad. The OP's project doesn't have any landing info.  Don't know where my landing dimensions came from.  I was fighting to make those corner support returns for nothing.

...nice job! I'm impressed.  Elegant solution.

Here is how I fixed it.  It may or may not be the same as others' approaches.
