Well Revit is heavily focused on components (of course), it lacks some modeling tools for surfaces and solids. Compared to a 3D modeling program it lacks meshing, curve analysis, filettools, etc.

I trace the DWG import and then add those points. Once I have the points, I use spline thru points and then create form.
