callouts and scope box

I was just reading up on how to use scope boxes (never used or even looked at them).  I am able to create a scope box and then apply it to a callout (enlarged plan).   a coworker tried to do the same but they are unable to apply their callout to the scope box.   in the properties window, "scope box <none>" is greyed out.   is there setting in a template view or somewhere else that controls if you can apply or not?

When the crop region is irregular the scope box option becomes disabled. The fix would be to select the crop region and use the reset option to revert it to a rectangle.

well, just figured it out 10 minutes ago.  because portion of the building is on an angle, they sketched the callout so thats why the scope box was greyed out.  told them to delete the callout and create a new one via 'rectangle'.

@GlynnisVP  thank you.

I'm not sure how to best do it in native Revit. We use Ideate Explorer as shown. The Audit view includes this as part of the model filter for this and other hard to find elements.
