CAD Imports

Is there any way to import (or link for that matter) a CAD file into two, or more, views only?  It seems to me that when I import a digital map dwg. which I need in two views, each at different scales, but in no other views, that I cannot avoid Revit registering two records of the same import.  Having picked, on the import/link dialog, that I only wish to see it in the current view I have to re-link/import it to see it in another or go through every view and turn its visibility off by not checking the 'current view only' box!

Not a solution but in similar cases we created worksets that are not visible in all views, get the CAD links in these worksets and turn them on only in the 2 views required. 

This option gives you the confident that the CAD links will not pop up in any views you don't need them.

link it on one view as current view only. then copy paste it on the other view you where you want it. this is the way of "creating new instance" of that link CAD.. 2 instances with 1 link cad. any change to the link cad will be reflect to both of them as they are tied to the same single cad. same concept as revit links..
