CAD IMPORTS ARE 1/32" OFF SCALE

For some reason when I import my .dwg into my Revit project the scale of all the walls and spaces are 1/32" off. I tried both auto detect and manually setting the units. I'm using Revit 2021 and Auto CAD 2020.

Well, I’m trying to not have my CAD imports 1/32” off. Sorry, I should have specified that I don’t want my drawings 1/32” off everywhere. I can see why you’re confused. I’m sure most people work with their drawings 1/32” off, but not me if I can help it. Do you have any suggestions to import my CAD drawings so that they’re exactly 0” off scale? @Anonymous

 What do you mean by  "0-inch off scale"?

Can you attached a sample for us to look at? I like to see if the CAD drawing has obscure angle or have line that has Z-axis which can throw off the measurement. Thanks

Here is one of the .dwgs giving me issues. If you import into Revit and take measurements, you she see that they're inconsistent with the CAD measurements. At least that's what I'm getting. @syman2000

I've look at the CAD and set the unit precision to 1/256". Once I start dimension it, you will see some tiny fraction left over. When Same CAD link into Revit, you will see those fraction left over. This is a common issue when linking CAD into Revit. Most often I use CAD as background and redo the Revit with proper dimension.

I have no issues. The Dimensions pulled in Revit are a dead on ballz match with the Dimensions pulled in AutoCAD -- as they should be.

@syman2000: What is this "common issue" you are referring to?   I have been regularly inserting and dimensioning AutoCAD Drawings in Revit for well over ten years, and I have never experienced a common issue.  Unless you count the "loose nut behind the keyboard" as the common issue.  If so, then yes; I've experienced that one.  😉

The issue I have is every CAD drawing I've encounter always have slightly off axis or very small fraction which CAD user miss. Sometimes user work off UCS that is slightly off from WCS. If user don't watchout for these slight abnormality, it can throw the whole Revit into a mess. I've always encourage my teammate to double check CAD because you can start the project in the wrong foot and have no idea it has a huge impact on accuracy down the road especially the Construction documentation phase.

Yes, another firm gave me these drawings and they had dimensions drawn at a certain tolerance that don't match with my Revit's tolerance. As I draw walls with pick lines in Revit, they don't match up. Thus the project is all misaligned. Thanks for your help and not being a "passive aggressive nut behind a keyboard".
