Base Sketch Extrusion Error When Modifyiing Window

I'm trying to create a window family and to make life easier (that was the hope anyway!!) I used a standard window shipped with Revit and am trying to modify it but when I change parameters, I get an error:

BugFinder_0-1602019526815.png

which, if I understand correctly, is trying to tell me that the bit I've added is causing issues!!

I've included what I am trying to modify as an attachment.  The original filename was "Windows_Sgl_Swept_Head.rfa" and all I've done is to add the center vertical frame/mullion in the middle of the top pane.

I get the error when I change the width parameter (probabily others too).

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with the base sketch, please.  Apart from the error being generated, it looks like it behaves as intended.

Post the RFA-- not the RVT that is automatically deleting the problem geometry upon loading.

...one thing I would inspect is the Profile you used to create the Sweep. I suspect it has overlapping lines in it.

This action may provide troubleshooting clues.

There are a bunch of errors being thrown when the Host Wall's Thickness in the Family is changed to 90 -- the same Thickness as the Host Wall in the Project.

Is the attached any use?

I've had a look for overlapping lines but I couldn't see anything...

Did you read and understand my last post? Open the Family, select the Host Wall and change its thickness. Doing so throws all kinds of errors. It breaks the Family to smithereens.

I'm not sure that I do understand...

I've opened the family and changed the wall thickness to 10mm but it does not generate any errors at all.

Interesting. Maybe you posted the wrong family for me to test. The one I have, throws all these errors:

Oh...

You could try the attached.  It is incomplete but I am using 1000x1850 and it seems ok???

I'm not sure what you are asking about. Errors are still being thrown. If you click "Expand>>" button in the Error dialog box,  there is a sub dialog box that provides details and IDs of all the elements causing the Errors to happen. Should be easy to track down and correct the issues from there.  Is it not?  Go to Manage Tab=>Select by ID and enter those IDs shown in the Error dialog box to quickly locate the Element. The faulty Element might be hidden inside Sketch Mode of a Sweep or Extrusion.
