Bring CAD drawing as base, visible in all views

I have brought a CAD drawing (the context around my design) via > Insert > Link CAD and ensured that I had the box unchecked that says 'current view only'. Therefore, the CAD drawing should display in all views (from level 1 to level 8 floor plan) which is what I want. However, it is only showing in level 1 and 2.  All plan views use the exact same 'view template', they all have the exact same Properties Setting of 1. 'Underlay > Range:Base Level > None' and 2. Visibility Graphics. They have the exact same 'scope boxes'. Please help me understand why this CAD drawing is not shown in all levels the way it shows in level 1 and 2 and how to fix. Thank you.

have a look on a Section View or an Elevation and find where the CAD file is placed (appears as a line because it is a profile view of the drawing) , then adjust the View Range or move vertically the drawing so to fit your purpose...

Thank you for taking time to respond to me, that much is appreciated. However, that was not helpful. Correct that I can see the CAD drawing (line work) in 3D view and as mentioned in Level 1, but when I linked it into Revit, I unselected the box >view in current view only<. I.e., it should be visible in all my plans at the same time. The CAD file is the context, I want it as a base layer on all my plan drawings (sheets) at the same time. The View Range, View Templates, Scope Boxes are all the same for all levels.

have a look in VGO > Imported Categories to see if the required CAD files are checked..

Thanks for responding. Yes, of course I tried that as per my first post, but that does not seem to be it.
When I go to my >View Template and go to >View Range and then in that dialogue box change > View depth< to >unlimited< , it then shows the CAD drawing context, BUTit is also shows all the walls and furniture beneath the level (it's a multi story building). In that same dialogue box, the primary range is unchanged so that the top, cut plane and bottom are left as >associated level<.

Unchecking that box does not make it visible in ALL views. It will only show in plan views that have it in the view range. You will to insert it every level.

Is the CAD Link within the View Range?

A linked file will only show up in a floor plan view if the View Range is set to include where it is in the model. It is for the same reason that you don't see the walls/doors/windows from the first floor in the view either. They aren't on the 8th floor to show up.

If you need to see the DWG you can specify the underlay to show level 1 or use Copy/Paste Aligned to put an instance of the linked DWG on each level's plan view.

I don't think I missed it. The OP said only that "the primary range is unchanged so that the top, cut plane and bottom are left as >associated level<".   

...between you and I, I'll wager $$ that the CAD will show up in the View if the View's View Range Bottom and Depth are set to "Unlimited".
