boundry lines of a callout

Hi,

is there anyway to display the boundry lines of a callout as dashed lines, whenever an Element is cut. I would like to draw a dashed boundry line with an overhang of say 1,0 cm. Is it possible to do such a thing with revit?

At the moment all I can get out of my sheet is the callout without any boundry lines, which you can see in the file "Project1.pdf".

As an example of what I would like to have see the file "Project2.pdf" please.

Thank you.

The only way I can think of is to draw detail lines using the Hidden line type which appears as if that's what you did.

...thank you for your reply.

But imagine I would have a very large complex with hundreds of sections and call outs per level. I thought there must be some way to define a family or parameter or something similar to automati zeller that.

Betont draw hundreds of lines would be painful.

By the way I draw the dashed lines in the attachment by adobe acrobat pro.

No worries... Another think you could do is select the Crop region, then right-click and choose "Override Graphics in View > Element. This will allow you to set the line type to hidden, but it will be the entire cropped region without the overhangs.
