BLANK DATA LINE IN REVISION SCHEDULE

I have one revision in my project.  I created a new schedule, but when I added it to my cover sheet, it includes a blank data line above Revision 1.  Why is this there?  How do I correct it?

Edit the revision schedule, sorting/grouping tab, make sure no "blank line..." box is ticked.

Are you asking about Sheet Lists or Revision Schedules? Two different things.

Very strange your height is greyed out. Normally this is where you can control the number of revision row you want. Variable will only show one revision at the time. Send over the family so we can take a look.

I did uncheck that box.  You'll see it's one of the of the pictures that I attached.  That's why this is so irritating...

I guess that I'm not sure?  I want a Revision Schedule.  However, under "Schedules/Quantities", I don't have an option to make a Revision Schedule.  I can make a revision schedule if I use the "Sheet List", but I still end up with that blank data line.

I don't know what to do here, and I am absolutely open to all suggestions...

No you didn't show if you uncheck THAT box.  It is under Sorting/grouping tab, not Appearance tab.  They are different.

You are right, sir.  I missed that they are two different options.  I verified that they are both unchecked, but I still have the blank data line.  Even my boss is confused.  We gave up and let it be...

OH!  Okay, that's easy enough.  Do you need the whole Revit file, or is there a way to send just the Revision Schedule?

Maybe that's what I'm doing wrong... I wasn't making a revision schedule in the title block?  I don't know.  Hold on, let me figure out where my title block is and I will send it for help.  Thank you, sir.

I figured out how to send a private message, but there was no where to add an attachment.  So, I guess this will have to do.  Here's our title block attached.

I'm not totally clear what your issue is, but the Revision Schedule isn't placed on the Sheet and it has no Headers  (you turned them off).  So, even when placed on Sheet, it doesn't show up.

You have a revision schedule in the titleblock family but it is not placed.  Below is what happened after I placed the revision schedule on the titleblock and load it in project - no blank line whatsoever.

@barthbradley I made the revision schedule through the schedule command.  I did not realize that it had to be done through the title block.  If you are confused, that's completely understandable, because so I am.  I am basically learning Revit OJT and whenever I can find spare time to play around in it.

@ToanDN I made it by using View->Schedules->Sheet List.  I am guessing that's not the correct way?

I would add the revision to the titleblock rather than create Revision in project. See attached

Sheet List is for Sheet Index. A revision schedule should be created in the titleblock family. Your file already has it, just need to format to how you like it to look and place it where you want it to be.

Ha! Yep, my head is spinning. But, seriously, the Titleblock Family you posted has a perfectly good Revision Schedule in it.  Why can't you just place it in the Titleblock and call it a day?
