BIM Interoperability Tool: Classification Manager

Hi!

I am using Classification Manager plug-in for Revit in assigning UniFormat/MasterFormat/OmniClass Codes to my model elements.

My problem is that Revit keeps on crashing/closing after few minutes of using this plug-in.

Anyone here experienced the same thing?

I already updated the plug-in for my Revit 2018.3 version but still the error occurs.

Thanks for the help!

Hello, have you used the plugin before and no issue? In this case you need to uninstall the plugin and see if this is the caused by crashing, it could be they are not compatible with Revit.. just saying. Thanks

Yeah I already did that for few times but still the crashing occurs when I installed back the plug-in.

I don't have this issue with revit before when I have not intalled this plug-in.

If only I don't need this I would have uninstalled it.

Now I am also using the COBie extension under this BIM Interoperability Tool.

Sadly it has been more than half hour since it started generating my spreadsheet and until now I cannot see the output.

The spreadsheet export from the COBie Extension is easily the most time intensive task. It can take hours to finish. Be sure you don't have too many items to export. Take a look at these articles for some tips:

Hi,

My problem is that one cannot reassign another classification after initial classification. The tool does not recognise anymore the parameters.

This seems a "one-shot" classification!!!

Which is not practical for Design iterations.

Can it be solved?

Thanks,

Benoit

On the OPTIONS tab there is a checkbox for BLANKS ONLY. If this is checked, then the Classification Manager will NOT overwrite values. If it is unchecked, then it will. It sounds like you need to uncheck this box.
