Best way to make a glass balustrade with posts family.

I am currently making it by applying the glass as a baluster. The problem is I need several glass families to fit the different sized it will have. It basically never repeats a size.

Can I make it to be parametrized to fit the space between mullions?

I need help.

You can create it as a curtain wall and make it "parametric" with Dynamo.

A work-around is two Railing families superimposed. One for the balusters and one for the glass panels. As for the glass panels - don't use a baluster but use a Rail in the shape of a panel. That way you can create 'panels' any length you wish. It's not elegant, but it gets the job done...

Railings and Curtain Panels systems are very pattern driven. If the railing never repeats a pattern it is going to be difficult to use the default tools. As long as you placing it on a flat surface (not sure how well it will work on stairs) your best bet is to use a Curtain Wall. You can make custom panels and swop them out as needed. Use Curtain Grid tool to Add/Remove Segments as needed for the panel sizes.

Create just one family for posts. You will have to have several post family types if you want clips to face the right way.

Then create the glass as a simple glass "wall" and go crazy with Edit profile.

You have to create multiple segments for the panels. It's convoluted, so I guess you're better off using a Curtain Wall?

I struggled trying to implement curtain walls as a solution for this, but they always break apart when it comes to anything even remotely "complex", just a regular stairway is enough to make them refuse to work.
