I may be over simplifying this so apologies!
If the distance between the beam is greater than the depth of the TJL beam another beam size is required. If there isn't one in the Properties Palette Type Selector you need to loading in another beam depth.
You can use Edit Type and change the depth but is not longer a Standard Depth Beam!
