Hello Ladies and Gentleman,

Does anybody have a workflow for a High-rise-buildung? I have a building with 20 floors. 11 of them are repetive. I should design a Basicfloor, and the design will change all the time in the next weeks!!!   How can create an workflow for a changemanagement?   I don´t want to touch every wall, furniture, room, door,... a.s.o.  eleventimes?

I hope you have similar problems solved! or reference-projects

Hello,

Thanks for the advice, It was also my first idea...

the model right now is 200 MB, without the floors. Even than I have still the problem with nummeric tags? How about shedules of doors, walls and rooms?

It might be that the file could colapse with a lot of big groups!

What do you think about the hardware - when I have a projekt around 1GB, how much workspace should I have?

We are inbetween 2-5 modlers in the model, at the same time.

How about using worksets for the groups? Could I run more effecient my datamodel?

I hope I get some infos

I'd try creating a group for the generic floor, then converting it to link and just instance the link as many times as I need.

Hello.

I understand. You can overcome with the grafic part. How can you schadule copied elements like doors, walls, furniture. Finaly I have to tag every element.

With rooms there is no problem. Can I put rooms into linked files?

Yes, you can schedule links, besides it will count all the instances. If you have 10 doors on the link and copy it 10 times the schedule will show you 100 doors.

If you want to make rooms on your central model then edit the link (Edit Type) and enable Room bounding
