awkward roof detail

hello people i have an awkward shape building with an odd roof , i have used the roof by extrusion tool to create the roof. My question is how do i trim it to follow the contour of that wall so it doesn't pock through? I tried the attach wall command that that only trims the wall above the roof i want my roof to meet the exterior wall, any ideas?

Create a model in-place void extrusion, of the Roof category, that intersects the roof. Then use Cut > Cut geometry. Select the roof, select the void.

Use the Join/unjoin Roof tool to trim/extend the roof to the face of the
wall.

Roof by footprint will work as well.
