Automatically start Revit in viewer mode

Hi,  Does anyone know if there is a way to make Revit decide whether it opens in normal mode or viewer mode while it's opening by having it check for an available network license while its opening and if a network license is available then it automataically starts in normal mode but if a network license isn't available then it automatically starts in viewer mode?

Not that i am aware of. You could possibly write some script to carry out the check and make the decision but there is not an option to have Revit do this automatically.

You can choose which one to open manually. If you go through the start menu > Autodesk > Revit *your version* > Revit or Revit Viewer.

has anyone written a script like that before?  Would it be possible to add something be added to the "target" line in the Revit program properties that would do it?
