Autodesk Professional Certification Exam - do you have to have the program open during?

Hi all,

I'm planning on taking the Professional Certification Exam on my laptop soon but I'm concerned about using the 2022 Revit version that I have. I've had issues when doing the challenge exercises provided in the course, because the files are for the 2019 version and sometimes elements are missing. I don't want this to affect my score.

Does anyone know if you have to use the program during the test, or is everything you need to take the exam contained within the Pearson VUE system? As far as I can tell from the exam preparation material, opening the program isn't mentioned. Although this could be outdated like the files.

Where are you testing at?  You can probably contact them directly to find the answers you seek.

I was going to do it online from home because that's the fastest option available, I'll try to contact them anyway though because I know it's with Pearson. Thanks!

Usually the files you get correspond to the version you are using for the exam. Even if they are not, you shouldn't be having any issues upgrading them! Elements should not go missing in such case

do you think the exam will be practical or answering the question? (maybe you have recent information about that)

I am not the one who put the exams together 🙂 ... to answer some question you need to be/get practical so I would say it is always both

some people say, the exam is only a procedural question. the other says all the question is about practical things.

okay, suppose the question should be both. couldn't agree more.
