Autodesk Certified Instructor

I have been researching on Autodesk website on how to become an Autodesk Certified Instructor and every link I click on sends me to another link saying to locate a Authorized Learning Center, and those learning centers do not teach or specialize in any Autodesk trainings for Certified Instructors. They don't eve know what I was talking about. They wanted to sell me product and software to train professionals to be user certified.

Is this program on hold again? When I looked up past community threads from 6-8 years ago the program was on hold. If it's not supported it needs to be removed from your website.

Thanks Brian

The requirement in the past if I am not mistaken was to be an educator/Trainer affiliated with an Autodesk affiliated Training Center. It was on hold for quite some time and I think it still is.

I am not sure how credible that certification is considering the fact that some Autodesk Training Centers (most of those I have dealt with) actually need a trainer to train them! The whole thing always sounded like a brokerage contract with Autodesk partners; as long as one pays the fees …

As far as i know, Autodesk Certified Instructor is only obtainable either by Autodesk Training Center, or Autodesk Distributor specifically in your region. currently in Autodesk website itself, there were no redirection to your local ATC or Distributor. so for now, you have to find it out on your own. the easiest to find out is by reaching your local Autodesk Reseller, and ask them about the local regional distributor. there you could ask them and they will explain to you the specifics about the ACI information.

Hope that helps!

Snipped from Autodesk website:

To earn an Autodesk Certified Instructor certification, an instructor must be an Affiliated Instructor with a qualified Learning Partner.

For professional users, the certifications available are Autodesk Certified Users and Autodesk Certified Professionals.

Yes, I have been searching in my region and even outside the region. From what I have seen there are no Authorized Autodesk Training Centers that offer of are Certified by Autodesk to provide this training. And even through Autodesk website there is no outline of what the requirements are for this. I'm researching because there is a college that is asking for the Autodesk Certified Instructor certification. This is something Autodesk needs to remove and discontinue the promoting of the certification if no one is qualified to provide it and Autodesk isn't supporting training centers to provide it.

I was once an instructor of Autodesk products. I signed certificates of graduated students after finishing the course, I graduated lots of students it was a great feeling seeing those students getting their certificates and learned from my teaching, some students where older than me or owner of their company. I remember they let us wear the Autodesk Certified Instructor ID inside the classroom, I still have it with me I just could not find it in my things and I don't have the time to look for it.

Bottomline if you need to be an Autodesk Certified Instructor you need to be teaching currently the software's, it's either AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max, Revit Architecture and so on... Tip though when you have the Autodesk Certified Instructor ID it was like you're a specialist all around person of Autodesk Software's like the one I stated above.

I hope I have given you an idea.

Sincerely,
