Assign Levels to a Phase

I am working on a conversion of a building and some of the Levels of the existing building will not be used in the completed building whilst new Levels will be used, but how do I get rid if the existing levels, that are not being used, in the New Construction drawings? Surely "Hide in View" is a little crude and does not have the automatic nature of a phased project, also meaning that a view may have a level wrongly remaining by accident!

Any ideas? Thank you

Name the levels with (E) prefix and create filter to hide levels with that prefix in new phase views.

Smacks a little of a workaround but good enough for me.

Thanks ToanDN

Two different Level Types. Make them graphically distinguishable from each other as well (e.g. different Line Pattern, Symbol).

Use whatever Filter method works best (e.g. Selection, Rule-Based, By Element).

Create/apply View Templates.
