Area Plans - Transparent Fill Pattern

Not applicable

I have an area plan.  I'm using a JPG image underneath the area plan, as I do not have the existing building plans in revit format.  I'd like to show both the existing JPG plans and my new areas on top of them.  I can't seem to get the areas to be transparent (solid color transparent/translucent fill).

I'm almost certain the answer is just "no".

I was able to get something somewhat close - under graphic display overrides in the view properties.  Adjusted the transparency of the plan.  Imperfect, but I can at least see the background JPG.

If you know how to select elements, and save selection..

Example : Area... that saved selection

that can be used in " Filter" and give that filter some " Transparency" ..Job done..

save selection.JPGFilter so saved selection...Filter so saved selection...
