Applying hatches to bathroom floor finish

Hi,

I am trying to figure out how to do floor finishes hatch for wet areas aka bathroom,

I tried to use split face and Paint under modify tab but it don't quite works.

Is there any solution to do this?

You need to paint the area with a material with a surface pattern.

Hi @jinergoh721,

we create different floor types for different floor finishes. For example Hardwood floor in the living- and bedrooms, tiles in the bathrooms. That makes it easier to apply materials (and therefor hatches), you can use it in schedules or create filters and graphic overrides.

i know we can modify material properties and visibility graphics for floors,

but I want to apply only at certain portion of floor, so is there any way where  I could  slice them up and apply floor hatches to bathroom only?

I just tried the way you mentioned in your Original Post:

Split Faces and apply Material to this face - works like a charm.

It makes everything simpler a lot, I previously failed to use cuz of some minor clicks.

Apart from paint,

can go to <Remove paint>.

Then <EDITTYPE>, <FINISH MATERIAL>, <MATERIAL PATTERN> ,<SUFACE PATTERN>, for floor plan, <SELECT HATCHES> 

So instead of applying paint just like change material browser, kinda..
