Annotate Legend Components_wall assembly in schedule

Hello Revit Community,

We have a big issue, we need to create a wall schedule but we need to show the wall assembly and be able to annotate, place insulation line,dimensions,etc,...

Please have a look at the image attached.

We have tried different options but none of them work for us:

Option a:

In a sheet place the wall schedule with a blank field, then create a legend and place on this all the legend components.

The big problem with this solution is that we cannot tag or dimensions them (it is impossible to snap), such a pain!

Option b:

Create a different project file, set all the wall types in a floor plan, callout each type and then place this callouts in the same sheet mentioned in option a with the wall schedule. This way we can tag and annotate our walls.

The problem with this solution is that every time that we make changes in the wall assembly we need to apply this changes to two different files independently.

Option c:

Add to the wall schedule an image field, create screenshots of each wall detailed assembly and then populate this fields with these assemblies.

The problem with this option is that there is not possible coords between the wall assembly itself and the image in the schedule.

Ps:

The best option for us would be option a, but we need to be able to snap and tag this legend components!!!

ANY IDEA???

Many thanks

I have read that others who need to show actual geometry for something similar to what you want and that they do not want to have show in the actual model, will use phasing to isolate the geometry from the actual project.  Create two phases before the ealiest phase of the actual project.  The earliest phase is where you would draw your Walls, with Tags and dimensions.  In the following phase, you would demolish all of the Walls, so they are not part of the actual model and can be excluded from schedules/take offs, etc.

Thanks David,

It is not ideal but it is an option.

Cheers
