all elements showing as halftone

Hello,

I have a user at my practice reporting that all elements in Revit are showing halftone and can only show them correctly when turning on the Thin Lines mode in which they show thicker.

Here is a couple of more information and things I tried without success:

- tried disabling/enabling hardware acceleration
- view's discipline is set to Architecture
- view is set to show Model in "Normal" mode
- Phase Filter is set to Show Complete and no overrides are being used
- no Underlays are being used
- there are no Design Options in the model
- there are no View Filters or Overrides being applied
- problem happens in newly created models and older models (which work fine for other users)
- running Revit build 20.2.0.48
- running Revit on a laptop with a borrowed license

I have also checked the suggestions in this post and it still did not work.

Thank you for your help

You more thing... Did you try to see the view range, its cut plane?

It seems to be some kind of bug : /

You should try to update your Revit to last version or even your graphic card driver.

it is not the view range

It is happening with all the files for this user, not a particular one.

So is it then system related or autodesk user(name) related?

To track things down, try the 2 tests below:

1. Open the (or any) project on the system under another autodesk user name....

also grey'd out -> System issue maybe.

2. Have the user with this issue open the (or any) project on another system under it's autodesk user name

     Not grey'd out -> most probably a system/software issue.

ps. Do prints (pdf) also come out grey'd out?

(if it happened only in one project maybe worksharing...?)

Autodesk Support found the solution.

It required adjusting the DPI settings as in the image below.

Thank you for all your help.
