Is there a simple way to align dimensions to an angled wall?

I have tried the pick entire wall options but so far I've been unsuccessful.

Aligned dimensioning looks for parallel lines to dimension between. Hover over those lines, wait for them to light up, and then click.

But what of the times when there are no parallel lines to use as references? In that case, hover and TAB>>Click to select the endpoints.

thanks for the solution.

I tried it but the dimension will be measured either vertically or horizontally, and I need it measuring end to end of a wall internally, based on whatever the angle it is running. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks for the solution.

I tried it but the individual reference will have the options grey out, and the pick->entire walls, not only breaks down the individual dimensions of a wall based on whatever elements on it (doors/windows), but also doesn't extend end to end.

All I need, is a dimension that measures end to end of a wall internally, based on whatever the angle it is running. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to use TAB generously until you can snap to the intersection points.  Zoom in closer if you need to.

Another way if you find Tabbing tiring is add a door or a window in the wall and place a dim from it to a corner of the wall, then drag the witness line form the window to the other corner of the wall and delete the temporary window.  See screencast in a few minutes.
