Does it have an offset from host parameter? If not, you'll need to open up the family to see what's going on with it.

You should look in the Family editor, where is the reference plane "Center". Usually this one dictates the level /height of the element inserted in the project.

The Ref. Level looks fine as it should be, but I suspect somehow it inserts your family 300 (your units) above the level. I do not know why as I do not have access to see how the family is built.
Maybe try lowering the box depth and see what happens, unfortunately this is probably not the permanent solution..

Then I think the best next thing is to try and create a vertical (Height) parameter / offset from Ref. Level.
- Create a reference plane

- Create a Dimension parameter ("Offset") from Ref. Level to said reference plane

- lock all the geometry (Extrusion of the box) to reference plane  at the bottom and Ref. Level at the top.

- Try and stretch in Family Editor to see if it works properly

- Insert to project with Override parameters option

- Try adjusting Offset
