Adjusting Witness Lines When An Element is Clicked

When an element is clicked or about to get placed, the witness lines coming up are always including the element's measurment itself and when I move the witness line I have only 3 options, left-middle-right. How can I change this? What I want is to see only the measurment that excludes the element.

I upload 2 images, one is mine and the other preferred one is from an older video.

Hi,

When you click on the blue dot it will cycle through middle, left and right. But you can also click and hold the blue dot to drag it to your location. (see example below). https://lazybim.com/dimensions-in-revit/#Moving-elements

Hey, thank you for the reply.

What I get from hold&drag is the same L-M-R options I get from clicking. Witness line still covers the element as in my screenshot.

But, I just found what I need. At Manage -> Additional Settings -> Annotations > Temporary Dimensions , "Faces" for walls, "Openings" for doors and windows.

Thanks you anyway, have a good day.
